In celebration of the new 4TH STREET MARKET opening up in DOWNTOWN SANTA ANA’S EAST END, we ventured out to the soft opening during SAVOR SANTA ANA to eat our way through the maze of food stalls and artisanal food purveyors.
Last night it felt like the entire city of Santa Ana was out to experience the latest food hall to hit Orange County and I for one, couldn’t be more excited. Some of the things I loved so much in Italy was the fact that farm to table was the norm, being prideful of your food was the opposite of sinful and community + food were things that should never be separated.
With the wave of great new american food halls opening up across the U.S., I’m excited to have a little bit more of Europe here in our backyard. New friends were being made over the discussion of KTCHN LA’Sbreakfast bbq samplers and exchanges in how best to work off the goodness of the bunuelo waffle you and your new friends just devoured from INK WAFFLES.
No one is a stranger here, everyone is family. There is an artistry and craftsmanship that is poured into each and every dish. Simple, small and yet layered with a level of complexity to leave you wanting just a little bit more.
The market officially opens this Monday, Feb. 16th! Stop by PORTOLA COFFEE LAB’S latest hang to caffeinate your morning and make a few new friends while you’re at it.
Much more to come…
